How we got here
Tony enters the flooring industry
Tony Tipton begins his flooring career as a salesman, consulting for local companies including Floor Play Ceramics, B&B Carpet Consultants, Henson Flooring, and Walberry Tile & Marble. Over the next decade he learns every side of the trade.
First storefront in Johnstown
Tony partners with Terry Henson to open a storefront location in Johnstown, Ohio — his first step toward running his own operation.
Tee's Flooring is born
When the economic downturn hits the housing market, homeowners need a price break. Tony founds Tee's Flooring with a lean model — no brick-and-mortar overhead, direct distributor pricing, and samples brought to your home.
Reputation spreads across Central Ohio
Word of mouth does its job. Tony's crew expands service to Dublin, Westerville, New Albany, Upper Arlington, and 13+ surrounding communities. Some of his installers are old classmates from Westerville South High School.
Inspector Reno becomes the mascot
Tony's German Shepherd Reno passes away on June 1, 2018. An old photo of Reno wearing glasses — looking like he takes standards seriously — becomes the company mascot. "Inspector Reno" is born.
Craig Massie joins the company
Craig brings over 40 years of industry experience from companies like GAF, Armstrong, Mohawk, and Shaw Industries — plus a history of running his own flooring operations. He rounds out the team's sales and customer service side.
Appointment-only showroom in Johnstown
The Johnstown showroom at 670 West Coshocton gives homeowners a private, low-pressure experience — browse real samples with Tony or Craig, no crowds, no commission pressure, and a firm price before you leave. Tony still checks in nightly with every installation team.

Inspector Reno — the four-legged quality control
Tony's German Shepherd Reno had a habit of inspecting every room. After Reno passed away in June 2018, Tony found an old photo of him wearing glasses — looking every bit like someone who takes standards seriously. That photo became the Tee's Flooring mascot, and the name stuck: Inspector Reno.
You'll find the Inspector's paw print throughout the site — and on every job, we hold the work to the same standard Reno would've demanded.
